"Hosting? Sure we'll be a host family...we cannot adopt, but we'll be glad to host!" Those were our words at the beginning of October, but it is funny how the Lord had a different plan for us! We're writing to share the joy and excitement that we will be adding a son to our family. How did this all come about? Well, our 16-year-old son heard about "The Russian Orphan Lighthouse Project," he thought we just had to do this! Mom was in agreement, so he asked Dad and he was too! Little did we know what was in store for our family. October 31st-November 9th we were able to enjoy hosting a 12-year-old boy from a Russian orphanage. And yes, we have fallen in love with Losha and are willing to adopt him! No problem right? Except that he speaks another language, lives on another continent, and it will require a huge sum of money to bring him home!Losha returned to Russia Sunday, November 9th, we were unable to see the plane lift through our tears. However, we know we "can do all things through Christ who gives us strength," Phillipians 4:13, and we are standing on Phillipians 4:19, "I will supply all your needs."
