Flier miles

We were informed to seek out frequent flier miles! If you or anyone you know have frequent flier miles you are willing to donate, please let us know. If we are unable to use the miles with our particular flight company, maybe another adoptive family would be able to.

I think I've come to my senses

Okay, God has really moved the past few days! I was very discouraged a few days ago, now I'm extremely glad I'm not pregnant. The evening of my last post, I received two separate letters from two really awesome Arkansas friends (God knows exactly what encouragement you need, at the time you need it). Another friend made mention of our cause, instead of something that could have brought her personal gain.
Yesterday, I received a call from cousin Kim. Their Russian friend had mentioned again- to let her know ahead of time when we're traveling to Russia and she'll try to find us a place to stay (either donated or extremely discounted). Continue to pray on this matter!
Today, a friend from Arkansas (that I no longer had her number, nor her mine)called by accident (God moment). She was calling her friend in Tulsa and dialed one number off, which happened to be my cell number. We were both shocked! We had a wonderful conversation!
I'm so thankful God cares so much to continually rekindle friendships!

I wish I were pregnant

I wish I were birthing the boys - have I lost my mind??!! Of course not at the age they are now, but you understand what I mean!
My apologies for not posting in 10 days. I'm of the mind if you can't be building someone up or having good things to say, don't spread it around. I also realize that people need to know, times are not always perfect, hence the reason for this post. Sometimes this journey is so frustrating! As much as I do not desire to go through another pregnancy, I've wished we were birthing these boys, at least we would know a more precise date of when we get to see their faces again! I miss their mischievous chuckles, their bright smiling faces and the ways they communicated with us even with the language barrier. I so wish we could talk to the boys and make sure they are safe, have plenty of food to eat and just their simple basic needs met. As I concern myself with this a bit much (to the point of worrying) my husband or a good friend reminds me- God's time table is perfect. I know God is growing my patience during this journey! I'm reminded of this for Alexei and Losha-
Jeremiah 29:11-13 "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. You will call upon me and I will listen to you and answer you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you."
This verse gives me peace that God will give them a hope and a future!

Apostilling adoption papers

I met a friend (another Russian adoptive Mom)early yesterday morning to give her all of our important documents that needed to be apostilled in OKC. She is taking them for us, what a blessing!! I emailed her this a.m. to see how it went. I was already aware that several of our documents have to be redone, however 41 of them were good! Her reply: "there were 4 people ahead of me to apostille adoption papers. The guy helping me was in shock. He had never seen so many documents come in to be apostilled at the same time. That was why they couldn't be done that day. Someone was out sick and they had a rush on getting kids adopted. He was very nice and apologized several times. He even thought they might be able to squeeze them in until he heard that we had so many. The other 4 people combined didn't have as many docs as you and me." An apostille is a special seal to prove that our state checked and made certain that all the notarization is accurate and the notaries current.

God's provision

For those of you who do not know that we homeschool, let me tell you we do! We are blessed enough to be a part of Classical Conversations in Tulsa. On Fridays, I tutor an absolutely amazing set of 4th-6th grade girls in the morning and facilitate a K-3rd chemistry class in the afternoon. During this time, our children are in their age appropriate classes.
I felt you needed the introductory information before I tell you what a blessing our CC community has been in our lives! Without CC we may never have found out about Alexei and Losha. The support we receive from our CC friends has been amazing! Several of the blessings we've received from our CC community are: many prayers, fundraiser help, financial contributions, and putting us in contact with other Russian adoptive families or organizations. Only yesterday, a dear family blessed us with a donation that exactly covers our next Dossier fees. They didn't know ahead of time how much any of the individual fees cost. The amount is what God placed on their heart. The week before, a tuition payment was paid off and a gift given. The list could go on, but I just want people to take note of God's many provisions! He still works miracles!
